Members of our Toastmasters Youth Leadership Program (TYLP) and alumni joined the evening meetings of Dynamic Toastmasters Club in Admiralty and Centraler Toastmasters Club in Central on 18 July and 24 July respectively, watching the working professionals deliver and evaluate prepared and impromptu speeches. Our TYLP members actively participated in the meetings.<\/span><\/p>\n

Present at the Dynamic Toastmasters Club meeting on July 18, themed “Masterpieces”, were six TYLP students – Caleb WONG Ho Yan, Esquiana LEE Yi Kiu, Jaden CHAN Tsz Man, Kingsley KWOK Wang Kin, Hugo TAM Hing Yat, and Tony TSUI Kam To – along with former Vice-Principal and TYLP Honorary Advisor Mrs. Anne Tam, Chief Advisor Mr. LAM Ka Chun, and alumni Ms. Crystal NG and Ms. Ruby WONG. Tony and Jaden volunteered to speak at the Table Topics (impromptu) session, and Hugo, our TYLP President, volunteered as the Grammarian, providing detailed evaluations on the speakers’ language use. Hugo was voted as the Best Facilitator that evening by the club members.<\/span><\/p>\n

On July 24, the Centraler Toastmasters Club meeting, themed “Come rain or shine”, was attended by five TYLP students – Caleb WONG Ho Yan, Jaren LAU Yiu Tin, Justin LIU Ching Ho, Tobi LAI Ching To, and Esquiana LEE Yi Kiu \u2013\u00a0 together with former Vice-Principal and TYLP Honorary Advisor Mrs. Anne Tam, TYLP Teacher Advisor Ms. LAM Kit Shan, English teacher Mr. TANG Tsz Lun, and four alumni including Ms. Yammy CHEUNG (Founder of our TYLP), Mr. Banke CHEUNG, Mr. Sunny TANG , and Ms. Ruby WONG. Justin and Jaren volunteered to speak at the Table Topics (impromptu) session, and Justin was voted one of the two Best Table Topics speakers. The participants were inspired by the motivational speeches and enjoyed mingling with the members of Centraler Toastmasters Club.<\/span><\/p>\n

All participating students, alumni and teachers enjoyed the fruitful learning opportunities in the evenings and found the Toastmasters meetings a positive and encouraging environment to practise and polish their spoken English. <\/span><\/p>\n
