Challenge workshop with micro:bit<\/b><\/strong><\/p>\n

Led by the ICT teacher Ms Maggy WONG, four secondary 4 ICT students ( Ng Cheuk Yan 4D,\u00a0Wong Hiu Ying 4D, Yau Shuk Man 4D,Yip Sze Ying\u00a04D ) attended a workshop, co-organized by The Hong Kong Association for Computer Education (HKACE) and The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) Hong Kong, held at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University on 16 December 2017 (Saturday).\u00a0 This workshop was mainly to help girls find role models in female engineers and to inspire their interests in technology.\u00a0 In the workshop, students would learn to write the coding part of step counter product,\u00a0stepometer, using BBC micro:bit.\u00a0 Except for the coding session, this workshop provided an opportunity for the students to chat with the female engineers to know more about their current career, find a future in technology as well as have fun.<\/p>\n
