12 Form 4 and Form 5 students formed the Coral Nursery Team and joined the Coral Nursery Programme offered by the Coral Academy, the School of Life Sciences, CUHK. They nurtured corals (Platygyra spp., and Porites spp.) provided by the Coral Academy at school.

Team members joined a workshop at the Marine Science Laboratory, CUHK on November 4, 2022. They used VR cameras to observe corals, and learnt how to nurture corals at school and monitored the water quality of the aquarium.
 

Team members also participated in a field study activity at Hoi Ha Wan Marine Park on May 15, 2023. During the activity, they conducted experiments to assess the water quality of the seawater and observed underwater corals from a glass-bottomed boat.
 

On July 8, 2023, two team members sailed to Tolo Channel with Coral Academy on a boat. They joined divers from the Coral Academy to release the corals that had been nurtured at school into the marine habitat. The closing ceremony of the program was held successfully on July 15, 2023.

In the 2023-2024 academic year, new team members will have the opportunity to enroll in the PADI Open Water Diver course. Additionally, some of them will have the chance to participate in the Youth Coral Ambassador Programme, where they can experience the joy of snorkeling in the sea for coral habitat study under the guidance of the Coral Academy.
