Dr. Kwan Tsz Ki, a Postdoctoral Researcher, delivered a thought-provoking speech to our students during the Gospel Assembly on 30 June, 2025. His powerful message conveyed is that even our most daunting obstacles can be transformed into blessings with unwavering faith in God.
Dr. Kwan shared his life experiences, beginning with his school years at King’s College, where he achieved remarkable results in both academic studies and extracurricular. As a star student, he was awarded a full scholarship to The University of Hong Kong, where he earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) and graduated with First Class Honours. Shortly thereafter, he was diagnosed with Wilson’s Disease, which forced him to quit his studies. Despite the challenges he faced from this disease, he underwent active recovery and continued to pursue his education. He successfully completed a Master of Medical Science (MMedSc) in Pathology with Distinction, and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Anatomical and Cellular Pathology.
The compelling life story of Dr. Kwan underscored the truth that even the most formidable adversities can be overcome with unwavering faith in God and transformed into profound blessings.
