We are absolutely thrilled to share some monumental news from our English Drama Club! Our talented students recently participated in the prestigious short film competition Filmit, organised by the EDB NET Section, and brought home the ultimate prize.
Competing in the highly competitive Secondary Category, our club’s brilliant short film, The Cheque Book, stood out among a staggering 260 entries from schools across Hong Kong to claim the First Prize.
The accolades didn’t stop at the best film award. The judges were incredibly impressed by the raw talent on display, awarding two of our Drama Club members the highly coveted Outstanding Actor Award:
- Mak Chi Lam (1D)
- Shing Chit Yuen (2C)
Stepping into character and delivering performances that captivated the judges, these two young actors have made the entire school community immensely proud.
Winning the first place out of 260 entries is a testament to our students’ incredible creativity, teamwork, and dedication. They handled everything from scripting to acting with absolute passion.
Congratulations to all the members of the English Drama Club who poured their hearts, hours, and creative energy into making The Cheque Book a masterpiece.
