In a moving post-exam Gospel Assembly, our students were immensely touched after hearing the deeply inspiring life story of Mr Cheng Hoi Kit. He explained that his paralysis from the waist down was due to a devastating car accident in the United States in 1993, when he was just 19 years old.
Though suddenly bound to a wheelchair and robbed of his direction, Mr Cheng found profound strength in his faith. Instead of giving up, he triumphed over his physical limitations. He went on to represent Hong Kong in wheelchair basketball at the 2010 Asian Paralympic Games. Having also obtained a Master of Divinity degree in 2007, he has dedicated his life to serving youth as a preacher. His powerful testimony reminded our students that with unwavering faith, life’s most sudden detours can be transformed into paths of incredible purpose, resilience, and hope.
