6E Li Shing Yick (left) and Cheng Chak Pan (6C, 2018-2019) joined the I Can Fly programme of Cathay Pacific from March to August 2019. Under the mentorship and guidance of pilots, flight attendants and other employee volunteers of the airline, they visited Hong Kong International Airport’s aviation facilities, went through aviation-related training, participated in team-building activities, and designed and implemented their own social service programmes for community groups.
Selected from 180 participants, CHENG Chak Pan (4th from left, rear row) was among the 30 privileged ones going on an overseas trip to Adelaide, Australia from 25th July to 31st July, 2019.
CHENG Chak Pan (middle) and the other selected I Can Fly participants had an eye-opening trip to Adelaide, where they could explore different aspects of aviation, the Australian culture and wildlife.

Chak Pan had an enjoyable 30- minute trial flight over the Adelaide sky.
Chak Pan even had an unforgettable experience of controlling the aircraft under the guidance of the pilot.
Chak Pan listened attentively to the pilot’s briefing on the use of different control buttons in the cockpit.
