The Students Counselling Committee organized a service and culture trip to Vietnam. The participating students experienced an engaging educational adventure infused with cultural immersion and community service. From the bustling streets to the historic sites and museums, this journey offered them a rich tapestry of experiences.
1. Community Service: TST volunteers actively engaged in community service projects, supporting and teaching the underprivileged children with their customized English learning materials and intriguing games. They gained an immense sense of fulfillment by making a difference to the less privileged.
2. The Independence Palace: also known as the Reunification Palace, stood as a symbol of historical significance, offering a glimpse into the country’s past. Our students were captivated by its grand halls, lush gardens, and the underground command center.
3. War Remnants Museum: The site left a profound impact that reminded our students of the devastating consequences of the Vietnam War. Through its powerful exhibits and artifacts, our students gained a deeper understanding of the resilience and strength of the Vietnamese people.
4 .Cu Chi Tunnels: Our students were amazed at the incredible adventure when exploring the underground systems of the Cu Chi Tunnels, witnessing the resilience of the Vietnamese people during wartime.
5. Cooking Class: Another highlight of this trip was the immersive cultural exchange opportunities. Our students had their horizons broadened and gained a deeper understanding of Vietnam’s food by joining a cooking class to have a taste of the lifestyle of Vietnamese.
6. Urban Exploration: The students navigated the chaotic motorbike-filled streets of Ho Chi Minh City and delved into Vietnam’s past by means of a visit to Ho Chi Minh Square.
