Our 2025 Alumni Homecoming was a vibrant celebration of connection and shared
history, culminating in an insightful networking session and a festive dinner. The
event provided a wonderful platform for graduates from all years to reconnect and
forge new professional bonds.
The afternoon kicked off with the inaugural networking session of the Shiu Tim
Alumni Networking (STAN), an initiative to build a career-oriented platform for TST
alumni from all walks of life, foster the alumni bonding across generations, as well as
to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and resources.
The session featured two inspiring talks on Whole-Person Development, given by
our former Principal Mr Anthony TONG and incoming Alumni Manager Mr Sunny
TANG. Our alumnus, Mr Elvis LAM, hosted the event and introduced our keynote
speakers.

Following the talks, the participants were treated to a dynamic and energetic yo-yo
performance. The yo-yo team from the Yang Memorial Methodist Social Service, a
group of talented primary school students took to the stage with captivating,
choreographed manoeuvres.

The performance perfectly set the stage for the free networking session, where
alumni continued their conversations, exchanged contact information, and enjoyed
light refreshments.
Following the afternoon’s Business Networking session and the AGM, the
celebrations continued as alumni, alongside current and retired teachers and staff,
gathered for the much-anticipated Homecoming Dinner in the School Hall.
The evening was formally opened by our host, incoming Alumni Manager Mr Sunny
TANG. The highlight of the opening was a special presentation by Principal Maggie
LAM, who offered an exciting glimpse into the upcoming 50 th Anniversary
Celebrations. She shared visionary plans for campus renovations and a preview of
the celebratory activities planned for the milestone year.
Adding a uniquely personal touch to the festivities, Principal LAM also generously
prepared and gifted four large trays of delicious desserts for everyone. The treats
were a resounding hit, disappearing quickly once the dinner began!

The dinner culminated in a heartfelt thanksgiving speech delivered by our
Chairperson Matthew. He expressed the AA’s profound gratitude to the event
sponsors, dedicated student helpers, AA teacher advisors and Committee members,
and, most importantly, every alumna and alumnus who returned to make the event
so special.

The 2025 Alumni Homecoming was a powerful demonstration of our community’s
strength and spirit. From professional networking to joyful reunion, the day was a
resounding success. We extend our deepest thanks once more to all our sponsors,
speakers, performers, volunteers, and attendees for their invaluable support. We
look forward to welcoming you all back for our next event, especially as we build
momentum towards our landmark Golden Jubilee!
