In view of Covid-19 cancelling our annual Career Days when senior form students usually meet with alumni mentors from different fields to explore their career interests, the Career and Life Planning Team have worked in collaboration with the Alumni Association Ltd to start 44 online mentorship groups of Form 6 students and alumni starting Oct 2021.
The online meetings have provided valuable opportunities for Form 6 students to glean career insights from alumni of different years and fields, some of whom currently working in different countries. The mentors have enriched our students with detailed information not just about their respective academic studies but have also shared their work experiences. Most students have taken part in more than one online meeting before making informed JUPAS choices. Mentors also get to know more about their younger peers. Mentorship has been most rewarding to stakeholders.
The online mentorships will continue into the future and be the bonds where solidarity will be reinforced.
